In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Hunt of Newells Island (Greenspond) in the Island of Newfoundland Planter being of sound mind and perfect health do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I give and bequeath to Rebecca my lawful wife my dwelling house furniture and all thereunto belonging together with the gardens cow house and livestock together with the half of my boats, seans and craft. Also, I give and bequeath to my son Robert Hunt my Cooper’s shop (situate near my dwelling house) with the cooperage, tools, staves, casks and all thereto belonging together with the half of my boats, seans and craft; Also I give and bequeath my Pew in the Episcopal Church at Greenspond to my wife and son Robert Hunt each to have an equal part or share. Also I nominate and appoint Rebecca my wife sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six. Thomas his x mark Hunt (LS)
